Unions21 at Labour: Putting the economic case for trade unions

Hall 7, Dee Room, Hilton Metropole, Brighton
Sun 27 September 2015 18:00 - 19:00

SUNDAY 27 SEPTEMBER, 6pm–7pm

With the Smith Institute: Bargaining for growth: Putting the economic case for trade unions

Sponsored by Pattinson & Brewer Solicitors

Hall 7, Dee Room, Hilton Metropole, Brighton

This event will see the launch of research commissioned by Unions21 and the New Economics Foundation on the contribution of trade unions to wage-led growth. Restoring union density to the levels seen in the early 1980s would add up to £27.2bn to current UK GDP. It is time for a new narrative on the contribution of unions to the economy and to remake the case for collective bargaining and employee voice.
