Join Unions 21 for a masterclass on how unions can make best use of the data available to them. We
will step through the development of an effective data strategy: from objective-setting, through data acquisition and management, to application. From research to resource-planning, there will be
opportunities for you to talk through ideas about how you would like to see your union using data.
We will discuss the barriers that currently limit our use of data, and the skills and systems needed to

Jenny studied oceanography, specialising in the analysis of large datasets, before applying her
technical skills to scientific data management. Over ten years in data science, Jenny’s work focussed on data engineering, metadata standards and interoperability, and data- and systems architecture.
